With back-to-school season officially upon us, Crayons to Classrooms (C2C) hosted the second annual First-Year Teacher Shop in partnership with Wright State University (WSU) College of Health, Education, and Human Services.
The PNC Foundation recently supported social emotional learning in the classroom by awarding Crayons to Classrooms with a $5,000 grant.
Over 40 individuals and local organizations generously donated hundreds of items for local educators to recognize them for their hard work and dedication.
CenterPoint Energy's $25,000 grant provided free STEM kits targeted to varied ages, grades, and STEM topics for local students.
Crayons to Classrooms' sustainability efforts aim toward keeping supplies, products, and books out of the dump and into classrooms in need.
RELX awarded Crayons to Classrooms a STEM grant of $12,000, allowing C2C to purchase solar eclipse glasses for local students.
This past summer I volunteered to work a day at Crayons to Classrooms and helped make multiple packs of items for teachers! We got to socialize, collaborate, and talk as volunteers. Then, because I volunteered my time, I got a free shopping trip. When I went for my shopping trip, I got amazing, quality items for my students and classroom! I can’t wait to volunteer again and know that I get to help in making and then receiving.
