Emerson recently supported Crayons to Classrooms with a grant to provide area teachers additional resources to support equitable learning in the classrooms.
The mission of Crayons to Classrooms is to secure and distribute school supplies through our Teacher Resource Center at no cost to teachers of students in need around the Greater Dayton, Ohio region. This funding will ensure the teachers have access to school supplies, STEM resources, art tools and other products.
In a recent survey, 96% of teachers said free supplies from Crayons to Classrooms allow them to create a more equal learning environment for their students. Throughout the 2021-2022 school year, Crayons to Classrooms distributed more than $2.8 million in free school supplies to teachers in 119 area schools.
Emerson Charitable Trust believes access to a quality educational experience is a key component for building a more equitable future for the next generation. Emerson also is a support of STEM education and has provided product ideas from their We<3 STEM programs.
