Since 2021, Crayons to Classrooms has distributed over 7,430 pocket hugs to local teachers, helping students self-soothe and concentrate during class.
The AES Ohio Foundation's grant will be used to enhance and expand C2C’s main program to provide supplies to teachers in AES service areas.
The Troy Foundation awarded $4500 to Crayons to Classrooms to serve teachers and students in need at Forest Elementary and Heywood Elementary in Troy, Ohio.
At C2C's second annual Book Give Back event, 149 Miami Valley teachers took 13,392 books back to their classrooms and students.
Last month, Crayons to Classrooms and Elements IV, a local office furniture company, gifted new desk chairs to 4 Miami Valley teachers.
Crayons to Classrooms is thankful for AES Foundation, the charitable arm of AES Restaurant Group, for their generous donation of $16,238.55.
"Students are able to gain a more equitable education because they have access to supplies that they may not otherwise have access to. We can do projects and have a decorated classroom. They can worry about their work instead of tracking down pencils and notebooks. This is such a blessing to classrooms and we are appreciative of the support this program provides."
