Crayons to Classrooms Names New Executive Director (Press Release)

After 17 years of visionary leadership, Steve Rubenstein is retiring as Executive Director of Crayons to Classrooms. Rubenstein founded the nonprofit in 2008 to support under-resourced teachers across the Miami Valley. As he steps down, longtime development director Amy Kopp will take the helm, bringing a strong background in nonprofit leadership and a deep commitment to educational equity.

"Students are able to gain a more equitable education because they have access to supplies that they may not otherwise have access to. We can do projects and have a decorated classroom. They can worry about their work instead of tracking down pencils and notebooks. This is such a blessing to classrooms and we are appreciative of the support this program provides."
