Sew Your Heart Out

Spread love this Valentine’s Day season by sewing and stuffing pocket hugs for local students! Pocket hugs are small stuffed shapes that can be used by students to calm themselves or provide sensory input to help them concentrate.

If you are interested in this off-site volunteer opportunity, you can find the instructions here or reach out to Debbie at d.hanna@crayonstoclassrooms.org with any questions!

Schedule Your Shop!

When you shop at Crayons to Classrooms you will leave with an average of $722 worth of free school supplies for your classroom and students. If you aren’t sure if you’re eligible to shop with us, check if your school is eligible here. If your school is eligible, schedule your shop today through the teacher portal! If you don’t see your school’s name on the list, you can still participate in our volunteer to shop program.

Keeping Students Warm this Winter

Many local students come to school without a winter coat or socks. We need your help to stock our shelves with hats, mittens, scarves, and socks for our teachers to give to their students. No student should brave the cold without proper warm clothing – if you would like to make or donate hats, mittens, scarves, or socks, email Dave Hargrove at d.hargrove@crayonstoclassrooms.org to schedule a drop-off time.

Tools That Transform

Crayons to Classrooms provides essential supplies to teachers of at-risk students across the Greater Dayton Region for free to ensure that every child has the tools they need to engage, learn, grow, and fully experience the transformative power of education. Last year alone, we served over 46,000 students. Your support can help transform lives across our community.

This summer I had a fun experience when I accompanied our church youth group to volunteer at Crayons to Classroom. We had so much fun talking and creating little math kits for teachers to use in their classrooms. And then today I got to be a shopper! WOW, what a great time! I am so excited to go to school and show my coworkers and students all the great items I got today. I am amazed at all the great items from Lysol wipes to calculators to a tape dispenser to notebooks, and on and on! What a great place that helps our community! I have taught over 24 years and have never been gifted so much product for my classroom! Thank you so much!
